DESCRIPTION:
Peter Dudley creates only custom instruments which, in general, are variations on a theme. Natural wood bindings and pristine hand-cut inlays are standard fare in Dudley guitars, but he is equally concerned with tone, gently pushing each instrument in one direction or another to have a distinct and recognizable voice of its own. Each top and neck is handcarved, and inlays are hand-cut.
Peter Dudley's exotic “Art” instruments push the boundaries of traditional inlay, with bold graphic images that spill off the edges of the fretboard.
His Lone Star series incorporates all the features of the art guitars, but with more restrained ornamentation.
Then there's the "Bamboo" with its chambered hybrid archtop construction whcih makes it exceptionally light and resonant.
